poetry on the once book

For school this past term we have been reading a book called once.  We were set a task to make a poem on a war or once I choose once here it is enjoy.

Jews and Germans will never be mates.
The world is spinning from despair and hate
My country is afraid of the war
Jewish starving and poor

I'm  trapped in a cage of bars
Top to bottom covered in scars
Nazis gun shots heard from a far
but nothing will stop me from finding my ma and pa
I traveled far for my Mum and  dad
no sign on them that very sad

People die nazi soldiers
Fighting for their country  but leaving jews starving
And  hungry
